Wherever I Go... — Suzane Christie

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

This is the command. This is The Promise. God is with me wherever I go. Not just to the physical places my feet may travel. He is with me even when I venture deep into my mind and soul.

In those dark corners and crevices of my thoughts that sometimes scream lies, He is there…whispering truth. When the whimpering beats of my heart moan in despair, God is there… singing over me.

When I’m crouched in the valley of my anguish and sadness, He cries with me. And on the pinnacle of my joys and laughter, He rejoices with me.

God is with us WHEREVER we go. And the command to “Be strong and courageous” comes with a promise. We don’t need to be strong on our own strength. It is HIS strength and courage that He promises to give us… through His presence… through His Word.

There’s no need for fear because where He is, there is love, which annihilates every fear…every time.

One truth that must be etched in our minds and carved in our hearts is this: We are never alone. God will never fail us nor forsake.
