About the Workshop

Acrylic Pouring allows you the freedom to explore and experiment far beyond the norms of traditional art. It is a medium that truly coaxes you to let go, whilst providing a therapeutic avenue to relax and be creative. If you are looking for a creative project that will allow you to unwind and have fun at the same time, then this is definitely the workshop for you!

In this workshop, you will pour acrylic paints onto a canvas and observe as they meet, mingle, and meld together. You will also experiment with creating simple design elements to add depth to your paintings using a simple little marble!

This Acrylic Pouring Workshop welcomes both beginners and seasoned artists, ages 15 and above. It offers an enjoyable opportunity for friends and family with varying levels of artistic skill to come together and indulge in the art of painting as a collective experience. ALL ART MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED.

At the end of this workshop, you will take home:

• 1 piece of Acrylic Pour Painting on canvas, sized 30 x 30cm (to be collected from the studio after 48 hours for drying time)

• A fun adventure with a rewarding result that you can hold in your hands and hang up on your wall.

• Memories of creating with either your friends or strangers alike!

About the Instructor

Suzane Christie is a self-taught artist who specializes in abstract Fluid Art paintings. While she has been painting for a long time, she recently made the transition from her full-time job as a writer to focus solely on her art.

Suzane is moved by the sights and sounds found within the rhythmic cycle of creation. Her artwork paints the vibrant colors of nature, the sky, and the sea. She is fuelled by creativity in itself and considers abstract art, especially acrylic pouring, an ideal medium that can foster peace in our mental health and help people overcome anxiety.

For this reason, she is also passionate about teaching fluid art, believing that the therapeutic essence of art is for everyone – either to experience joy simply by viewing or to immerse in the stillness that comes from creating.

Suzane has a Bachelor of Science in Communications with over 25 years of experience in the communications field. She relates well to people from all walks of life, possesses strong communication skills, and has the ability to break down complex concepts into simple, teachable moments.
